The Work
This is a senior position in a high-performing team with a strong internal reputation for delivering excellent advice. Reporting to an Assistant Director, your work will include:
- Advising on public sector employment issues
- Handling matters under both the state and federal IR systems
- Running and advising on anti-discrimination matters
- Providing advice on WorkCover reviews and related regulatory issues
- Drafting written and verbal advice
- Statutory interpretation and reviewing decisions by government bodies
- Helping to deliver training to government clients
- Preparing legal updates and briefings on emerging issues.
- A realistic daily target of 5.5 billable hours

- Total remuneration from $147K to $157K, depending on your level

Who We're Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years post admission experience
- You’ve worked in employment law (government or private sector) and have a solid grasp of industrial relations
- You’re admitted in Queensland and can practise in federal courts
- You enjoy writing, thinking, and problem-solving, and you're comfortable advising senior clients
- You’re looking for meaningful work in a team that will support you professionally and personally.
