Betsy has a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Human Resources and is nearing completion of her Bachelor of Laws with Honours.
She has worked in the legal profession for over a decade, initially embarking on her journey in an administrative capacity and progressing to a senior level in this time. This has given her the opportunity to work across many areas of law including workplace relations and employment law, property and real estate, elder law and succession law, family law, defendant insurance, as well as intellectual property. Consequently, Betsy has built a strong understanding of legal systems and department resourcing requirements.
In this time, she has immersed herself in complex projects and has been successful in implementing favourable outcomes for the relevant department, including the introduction of systems, policies and procedures for human resource functions. She was also heavily involved in making recommendations to the changes of workplace culture through the development and application of pulse surveys and more effective performance review functions.
This experience equips Betsy with a strong knowledge of the law as well as the operational needs within the legal industry.
It is therefore easy to understand that her department portfolio at Law Staff includes:
Banking & Finance
Employment Law, Industrial Relations & Workplace Health & Safety
Intellectual Property / ICT Law
Native Title Law
Planning & Environment
Property & Real Estate
With the focus of her recruitment on:
In-House Lawyers (locally to nationally)
Contract Lawyers (from 1 to 12 months)
Legal Human Resources Practitioners
Legal Business Development Professionals
Legal Knowledge Managers
Legal Admin / Support Staff
On a personal note, having grown up by the ocean in New Zealand as well as here in Brisbane, Betsy has a genuine passion for nature and animals and loves to spend as much time as possible exploring with her four-legged friend.
