An exciting opportunity has arisen for a to join a highly-regarded and longstanding Brisbane law firm for a 2 to 5 Year Lawyer to work with a Partner assisting clients in managing their commercial disputes.

The Role

You’ll work across a diverse and high-quality disputes practice, advising a broad client base SMEs and high-net-worth individuals.

Matters span commercial disputes, corporate insolvency and shareholder issues, property and planning disputes, as well as commercial contract conflicts. You’ll gain regular exposure to District Court and Magistrates Court proceedings, as well as some Supreme Court matters.

There's no Personal Injury, Family Law or Crime.

About You
  • You will be a Lawyer or Associate around the 2-5 year PAE mark (+/-)
  • You will have some training in commercial litigation but will be keen to deepen your expertise and take on complex, meaningful work within a supportive team while being mentored by a seasoned Partner
  • You will have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You'd like having some work-life balance and you prefer not to work in the CBD without compromising on challenging matters for commercial clients
  • You enjoy contemporary functional offices 
  • You don't shy away from direct client contact and collaboration with partners
  • You enjoy working within a relaxed, friendly, down-to-earth culture
