It’s an excellent time to be exploring new opportunities as a property lawyer, with a strong and active market offering a wide range of roles. We have roles with boutique, mid and top tier firms - from junior through to Senior Associate levels. Here is just one of the many roles we've been briefed on.

This role offers the opportunity to join a highly regarded specialist firm with a strong reputation across property, commercial and succession law.

Working closely with an experienced Director, you will take on a genuinely senior position with immediate responsibility and ownership of matters. The role spans a broad range of work, including:
  • Acquisition and sale of commercial, retail, industrial, and rural properties
  • Commercial, retail, and industrial leasing
  • Joint ventures and property development agreements
  • Residential conveyancing support
  • Due diligence and strategic acquisition advice
  • Revenue advice on transactions
  • Commercial agreements, structuring, and leasing arrangements
You will have direct client contact, manage relationships, and play a key role in mentoring and supporting junior lawyers.

Candidate Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Experience in complex property, leasing, and development transactions
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to allocate risk in a commercially astute manner
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills, with strong knowledge of the property industry and the ability to provide prompt, commercially focused advice
  • Exceptional matter management skills, including scoping matters, managing fee estimates, and billing
  • Strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management skills
  • Ability and willingness to mentor, manage, and support junior colleagues.
Why This Role:
  • True Senior Role: Step into a position with real autonomy, responsibility, and direct client access from day one
Career Progression: Clear and potentially faster pathway to partnership, without rigid promotion structures
Work-Life Balance & Flexibility: Approx. 5 billable hours per day with a focus on output over strict targets
Team & Culture: Collegiate, high-trust environment with direct access to decision-makers and a strong focus on long-term fit
Environment: Modern CBD office in Brisbane, close to transport, cafes, and amenities, with excellent end-of-trip facilities.
The Process:
Flexible interview options are available. You can opt for a one-on-one discussion or panel interview. Transparency is key, and you will receive a detailed PD for review after your meeting.
