Variety of Contracts available for experienced Junior and Senior Lawyers:
  • 1 x In-House Corporate | Energy & Resources | 12 Month Contract with possibility of Extension or Permanency.
  • 1 x Private Practice | Professional Indemnity | 6 Month Contract | Immediate Start.
  • 1 x In-House Counsel | Natural Resources | 12 Month Contract | Jan Start.
  • 1 x Private Practice | Commercial Litigation | Jan Start | 10 Month Contract.
  • 1 x Top Tier | Corporate M&A Lawyer | Immediate or January Start | 6 Month Contract.
  • 1 x Top Tier | Workplace Relations | 6 Month Contract | Immediate or January Start.
  • All Brisbane Based Opportunities.
  • Remuneration Negotiable $95K to $185K package.

Our clients in this instance include - a global law firm; a national insurance law firm; a large eastern seaboard law firm; an international natural resources company; and a national insurance law firm.

 
THE ROLES
 
Each position is unique in its own right and specific in its area of practice:

1 - In-House | Global Resources Company | Corporate & Resources
  • 12 Month Contract starting immediately or January 2019.
  • Global energy and resources corporation with activities in Gold, Copper, Lithium, Oil, Zinc and Iron.
  • You will work closely with the General Counsel who has 20+ years PAE
  • Experience required for this role is ideally 3 - 6 PAE, though candidates marginally either side of this may be considered. Regardless of your level of PAE, it is essential you have solid experience in either Corporate or Energy & Resources.
  • Remuneration is negotiable in line with top-tier and national firms.

2 - Private Practice | Professional Indemnity (Financial Lines)

  • 6 Month Contract starting immediately.
  • This is to assist a team of lawyers on a large complex professional indemnity matter that is destined for trial.
  • Broad Professional Indemnity or Commercial Litigation experience is required together with the ability to assess complex issues and distill the relevant facts.  
  • Experience from 4 Years PAE through to Senior Associate level is ideal, however candidates with lesser or more experience may also be considered.
  • Work with some of the best legal minds in this space led by a Partner nominated in Doyles Guide as a Leading Lawyer in this space.
  • Remuneration at the highest prevailing market rates.
3 - In-House | Natural Resources
  • 12 Month Contract starting in January 2019.
  • This is to assist the legal team on all things contract, from reviewing and negotiating terms across a broad range of commercial instruments such as procurement; supply agreements; marketing/media agreements; professional services (legal, accounting, engineering) and specialist consulting services; capital works projects and maintenance agreements; transport; finance; along with intellectual property and risk management considerations.
  • Experience from 6 Years PAE to 12 Years PAE is ideal.
  • Phenomenal work and a legal team that is a delight to deal with.
  • Remuneration negotiable $155K to $195K
4 - Private Practice | Professional Indemnity (Construction Lines)
  • 10 Month Maternity Leave Contract starting in January or February 2019
  • Working with a Partner lauded as Highly Recommended in Doyles Guide for his expertise in Professional Indemnity
  • This is to assist the Partners with a full book of work in complex commercial litigation disputes centred around construction related claims.
  • Experience in Construction Litigation or broad-based Commercial Litigation is required for this role.
  • Associate or Senior Associate level would be well-regarded.
  • Remuneration is completely negotiable based on the successful candidate's skillset and in line with other top-tier and global firms.
5 - Corporate M&A | ECM or PE
  • 6 month contract starting immediately or in January.
  • This is to assist the M&A Team through a lumpy period of transactions that has found them under-resourced and desperate for help.
  • Assist this relatively large M&A team on either Equity Capital Markets or Private Equity transactions depending on your skillset and availability.
  • Associate to Special Counsel level is required together with a proven history of running your own deals or assisting a lead Partner on larger transactions.
  • Remuneration is up there with the best of the best, so all you need do is nominate your availability in terms of days/hours.
6 - Private Practice | Workplace Relations & Safety
  • 6 Month Contract starting immediately or January 2019.
  • This is to assist one of the largest Workplace Relations teams in the southern hemisphere, each lawyer working on some of the most interesting and complex matters one could ask for, guaranteed to challenge you and stimulate your grey matter.
  • Broad Workplace Relations, or Safety, or Industrial Relations experience is essential.
  • Experience from 4 Years PAE through to Senior Associate level is ideal, however candidates with lesser or more experience may also be considered.
  • Work with leading technicians in this space led by Partners nominated as two of the best in this particular arena.
  • Remuneration at leading market rates, however $95,000 to $175,000 may be used as a guide.   
Given our clients are leading law firms and internationally recognised corporations, you will have a solid academic record and some experience in one of these areas within a reputable small, medium, large law firm or corporation, as well as having had a stable employment history.
