Under the guidance and mentorship of a highly regarded Special Counsel, your role will see you undertaking the following duties:
- Initial client meeting to take instructions and giving initial general advice on the estate administration process, including timing;
- Preparation and drafting of Applications for Probate and affidavits and other documents supporting Probate and letters of administration applications, including advertising arrangement;
- Assisting with the administration of the estate including calling in of assets, arranging for the transfer of properties, payment of liabilities and preparing distribution statements (both interim and final) for approval by supervising Lawyer;
- Diarising of all time limits and court attendances and ensuring that those limits and attendances are adhered to;
- Billing;
- File maintenance from opening to closing.
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of Estate Administration processes gained from your experience working in this area. You will also have:
- excellent communications skills (written & verbal);
- attention to detail; and
- ability to be a team player.
