Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join its National Payroll Team. Working closely with the Brisbane team, you'll play an important role in delivering an accurate and efficient payroll service across the firm's national operations.

The Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you'll be responsible for processing a high-volume national payroll while delivering an accurate and responsive payroll service to employees across the firm.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Processing a high-volume fortnightly payroll for a national workforce.
  • End-to-end payroll processing using Chris21 (or a comparable payroll system).
  • Preparing payroll and superannuation payments.
  • Responding to payroll enquiries from employees across the firm.
  • Assisting with month and year-end payroll reporting and reconciliations.
  • Running the payroll function during the Payroll Manager's absence.

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-volume, end-to-end payroll.
  • Experience using Chris21 or a comparable payroll system.
  • Previous payroll experience within a large corporate, professional services or law firm environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • A stable employment history demonstrating reliability and commitment.
