Our client is a highly regarded commercial law firm with a team of lawyers who are focused on key market segments including - Property Development, Planning & Environment, as well as Projects & Construction. They deliver on clients requirements from both an advisory, transactional, and dispute resolution aspect.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is keen to appoint an additional team member, specifically an enthusiastic commercial litigator to join their Sunshine Coast Head Office.

As eluded to, this is an absolutely career-defining opportunity for a talented lawyer with at least 4 years PAE to join a highly reputable Sunshine Coast law firm.

You may be at Lawyer, Associate, Senior Associate, or even Special Counsel level and looking to move laterally or be ready for a promotion. Regardless, you will have current experience working with a reputable practice in broad-based commercial litigation. Having some construction experience would be advantageous but not essential.

In this role you will work closely with and receive ongoing mentoring from a talented and highly approachable Partner. More importantly, you will get to work with an impressive portfolio of institutional clients in dynamic industry sectors of property and major projects. You will get to work on complex matters in the relevant tribunals, as well as the District and Supreme Courts. Your matters will include:
  • Commercial contract disputes;
  • Major property litigation;
  • Planning disputes;
  • Construction litigation and adjudications. 
ABOUT YOU
  • You will have between 4 to 15 years post-admission experience with a strong commercial litigation focus. 
  • You will have strong commercial skills, demonstrating a motivation for exceptional client service.    
  • You will also come from an environment where people hold their head high and treat others with dignity and respect.
