What is the Work Mix?
Your role will be varied across a range of sectors where each day will be different as you will be involved in:
  • Drafting pleadings, affidavits, and other legal documents
  • Representing clients in uncontested applications
  • Delivering top-tier advice on evidence, quantum, settlement, costs, strategic direction, and other case-related aspects
  • Facilitating dispute resolution through negotiation, conferences, and mediations
  • Managing complex trials across all legal jurisdictions
As a key member of the team, you will collaborate closely with industry experts, providing expert guidance on dispute resolution procedures for intricate and high-stakes cases. This one-year contract, with the possibility of extension, presents your chance to transition to a government role. Your day to day will involve representing clients in the District, Supreme, and High Courts, handling some of Queensland’s most significant and complex litigation matters.
  
What You Need to Succeed?
To thrive in this role, the following criteria are essential:
  • Minimum of 6 years of PAE as a lawyer.
  • Have a knowledge of the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 1999
  • Current eligibility to practice law in Australia, particularly within Queensland
