Law Staff is partnering with a leading in-house government practice seeking to appoint two senior lawyers with expertise in commercial and property law to join the Brisbane CBD team for 12 months with opportunity to extend.
Working closely alongside industry leaders you will provide advice on a broad range of matters which will involve:
- Drafting and advising on infrastructure projects and leases;
- Managing easements, licences and QLD Government land dealings;
- Handling indigenous land agreements and conservation matters;
- Managing conveyancing, title correction, and compensation agreements;
- Drafting and advising on government contracts, IT procurement and funding agreements;
- Managing regulatory and competition law;
- Advising on taxation, public sector finance and intellectual property;
- Managing intellectual property, commercialisation and protection.
About You
The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:
- A minimum of 5 years post admission experience with ideally expertise in government legal work, commercial law, property law, projects and infrastructure, tendering and procurement, charities, and trusts;
- Admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland eligible for Federal and High Court practice;
- Ability to handle complex legal matters;
- Strong decision-making and relationship-building skills;
- Exceptional drafting skills;
- Ability to supervise team members and assist in training.
- Criminal history check required for recommended applicants;
- Interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
