THE ROLE
The Queensland Energy & Resources division is headed up by internationally regarded partners whom you will assist in servicing some of the biggest names in the industry. You will be involved in a wide range of E&R matters including:

Resources:
  • project development and financing;
  • preparation and negotiation of complex agreements (exploration, production, operating/management, infrastructure, commodity sale and marketing);
  • joint ventures;
  • acquisitions and divestments;
  • corporate advisory.
Renewable Energy
  • development, financing and real estate components of wind farms, pumped hydro projects, solar farms, and battery storage projects. 
  • due diligence, drafting options to lease, leases, ground leases, options to purchase, financier deeds and managing the transaction to financial close.
  • contracts of sale for pipeline and ancillary infrastructure and assets, advising on pipeline tenure and statutory rights; procurement contract negotiation and general corporate advisory.

THE CANDIDATE
You will have experience with a mid or top tier firm acting on behalf of a notable clients.Ideally, you will have had some exposure to any nature of energy, mining or resources and or projects matters however candidates with desire to specialise in this lucrative and challenging area of practice may also be considered. 

Lawyers having greater than 3 years PAE will be highly considered as a fit for its team structure - Candidates up to Senior Associate Level will also be considered.
