Reporting and working closely alongside the Senior Legal Counsel and General Counsel, this role will sit within a legal team of experienced professionals who oversee a diverse portfolio of transactions, ranging from private M&A to rural property and export contract negotiation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in conducting private M&A transactions including drafting NDAs, conducting due diligence, drafting term sheets and executing deals;
- Negotiating water rights agreements and rural property transactions;
- Managing export contract negotiations;
- Collaborating closely with the legal team and other division of the business to ensure deals align with the company’s risk appetite.
- 4+ years PAE;
- Broad Corporate Commercial and contract experience which could be across, M&A, due diligence, water rights negotiation, or property law;
- While experience in the agricultural sector is preferred, applicants from other legal backgrounds are also welcomed to apply;
- You may be working at a national firm in private practice or already in-house wanting to take that next step;
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to work closely with an organisation itself;
- Current eligibility to practice law in Australia, particularly in Queensland.
