You’ll be joining an award-winning national mid-tier firm with six offices and more than 500 staff across Australia, backed by a highly experienced legal and administrative support network.

The Opportunity

Due to sustained growth, the firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join its well-established insurance practice. The role offers exposure to a broad and sophisticated range of matters, including:
  • Directors & Officers (D&O) Liability
  • Financial Institutions Professional Indemnity
  • Employment Practices Liability (EPL)
  • Contract Works Insurance
  • Defamation
  • Legal Services Indemnity
  • Management Liability
  • Construction-related Professional Indemnity
  • Health Law and Medical Malpractice
  • Local Government (including councillors and officers)
You’ll also gain valuable experience advising on policy coverage and wording issues, further strengthening your technical expertise in insurance law.

About You

You will ideally have:
  • A minimum of 5 years’ PAE
  • Experience from a reputable specialist, mid-tier, top-tier firm, or in-house with an insurer
  • A background in defending professional indemnity claims
This is a national opportunity, open to lawyers based anywhere in Australia. Genuine remote work is supported, with only a reliable internet connection required. To maintain strong team connections, lawyers are encouraged to attend meetings and social events at any of the firm’s offices nationwide.
