If you're looking for partnership in a more cohesive environment, or you're not being recognised for your technical capability and partnership eludes you, then this is an opportunity not to be missed.

This national team has an abundance of work and a clearly defined business case for an additional Partner to service its national clients. Here you will gain access to cutting edge legal matters while maintaining a reasonable work life balance in a dynamic and inclusive environment with gender equity.

You will work closely with other industry leaders on advisory and litigious matters including:
  • Drafting and negotiation of cultural heritage and native title agreements for the energy and resources sectors.
  • Drafting landowner agreements, land access agreements, compensation agreements, and mining lease applications.
  • Providing strategic advice on State & Federal environmental processes, land acquisition, overlapping tenure, and regulatory approval processes.
  • Complex litigation including Land Court issues as well as advice, mediations and negotiation in relation to native title applications and determinations in the Supreme, Federal, Full Federal, High Court and Court of Appeal.

To secure this role, you will have:
  • a strong industry profile as an Energy & Resources Lawyer with a specialist capability in Native Title and Cultural Heritage Law.
  • an ability to work effectively both autonomously and in a large collaborative team environment.
  • as well as currently be at Partner or Special Counsel level (or equivalent) in a prominent or respected specialist practice.

With a strong commitment to their partner and staff engagement, this firm offers an extensive range of employment benefits which are both generous and unique to the individual team members. You will also be rewarded with a highly competitive salary at the upper end of the market, all while working with senior practitioners who are recognised nationally as experts in their area of practice.

We go to great lengths to preserve your current position and will not action anything until you have provided written confirmation of your interest in advancing to a meeting with the National Managing Partner. In the interim, we would enjoy answering all of your questions while assuring you of our total and uncompromising commitment to confidentiality!
