Senior Tax Lawyer |National practice | Front-end advisory & structuring | Premium work and flexibility

An exciting opportunity has been created for a Senior Associate to join the Brisbane Tax team of a leading national law firm. This role plays a key part in supporting clients across complex, front-end tax matters, delivering structuring, implementation and specialist advisory solutions on a national scale.

While the primary focus is front-end tax, there will also be opportunities to contribute to tax disputes and controversy work as required. You will work closely with senior practitioners and key clients on high-value transactions, gaining broad exposure within a collaborative and highly respected national practice.

The Role

You will be involved in a wide range of sophisticated tax matters, including:
  • Providing technical and strategic advice on front-end tax issues
  • Assisting with the design, structuring and implementation of complex tax solutions
  • Supporting tax disputes and controversy matters when required
  • Working directly with senior lawyers on major transactions and advisory matters
  • Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the development of the broader team
About You

This role will suit an experienced tax professional who brings:
  • 5+ years’ PAE in front-end tax matters (or equivalent experience from a reputable accounting or advisory firm)
  • Strong technical capability combined with a practical, commercial approach
  • An excellent academic background in law and/or tax, accounting or related disciplines
  • A desire for national exposure and the opportunity to broaden your tax expertise
  • A collaborative mindset and an interest in mentoring and knowledge-sharing
