A leading Brisbane CBD commercial law firm is seeking to appoint a Special Counsel with expertise in estate planning and succession law. If providing top-tier estate planning, self-managed superannuation, and asset protection solutions to high-net-worth clients is what you're seeking, look no further.
This Role
Working directly with a distinguished Partner who manages complex estate planning and asset protection matters, you will provide services including but not limited to:
Strategic guidance on asset protection and succession matters
Managing succession and estate planning for family trusts and SMSFs
Handling complex asset protection matters and maintaining various asset structures
Planning and drafting Wills
Managing general and Enduring Powers of Attorney
Addressing tax issues in estate planning
Skills and Experience
To be successful, you will be an experienced lawyer with 5+ years post admission. In addition, you will possess:
Expertise in estate planning and succession law
Front-end experience in drafting Wills, testamentary trusts, and Enduring Powers of Attorney
Proficiency in dealing with family trusts and SMSFs in succession planning
Ability to provide strategic, commercially focused legal advice
Proven capability in mentoring team members
Pragmatic, outcome-focused approach
Capacity to work autonomously and manage competing time frames effectively
General commercial legal experience is advantageous
