The Opportunity:
You will join a financially robust national firm operating at the top end of the corporate market, with strong leadership and a clear growth trajectory. The Brisbane office, in particular, is entering another year of significant expansion, with forecast growth of 25%–30% over the next 12 months. Part of that growth is in its Corporate and Resources teams. Insofar as the corporate role is concerned, the firm is offering you the opportunity to:
- Work alongside a highly regarded group of senior corporate partners nationally.
- Lead complex, high-value transactions and strategic advisory mandates.
- Further scale your practice within a well-capitalised and growth-focused platform.
- Leverage an established, premium client base while transitioning your clients and continuing to build this further.
- Mergers & Acquisitions (regulated and off-market)
- Equity Capital Markets, including IPOs and backdoor listings
- Corporate restructures and joint ventures
- Corporate advisory including ASX Listing Rules and Corporate Compliance and Regulatory matters.
Commercial Proposition:
- 100-point equity partner earnings of this firm are well in excess of $3.5M
- Junior equity partners are averaging $1.2M+
- Strong internal referral networks and cross-office collaboration exist.
- A partnership model built on transparency, profitability and sustainable growth.
This will suit a junior to mid-level Corporate Partner (or a Special Counsel on the cusp of partnership) seeking a more commercially rewarding and strategically aligned platform without the red tape or internal politics. You will bring:
- 10–25 years’ PQE in corporate law
- Experience from a top-tier, leading mid-tier or specialist corporate practice
- A demonstrable track record in business development and client relationship management
- A current client profile upwards of $1m to $1.5m
- The ability to lead and manage a modest team allowing you to scale up your practice and advance within the equity pool.
