Join one of Australia’s most respected and fastest-growing national law firms — home to over 1,700 professionals and a reputation built on excellence, collaboration, and integrity.

We’re proud to partner with this highly regarded firm to seek an exceptional Health SA or SC to join their Brisbane team. This is a rare opportunity to work alongside industry-leading partners in a high-performing yet genuinely supportive environment.

Why this role stands out:
Based in the firm’s vibrant Brisbane CBD office, you’ll work on some of Australia’s most complex, high-value civil litigation and health law matters, including:
  • Regulatory and disciplinary inquiries and hearings (including AHPRA, OHO, and Coroner investigations)
  • Medical indemnity disputes
  • Professional college and training investigations
  • Private hospital credentialing and accreditation disputes
  • Statutory investigations, clinical reviews, and Commissions of Inquiry
  • QCAT and other regulatory matters
This team does not sit on the insurance practice (quite unique for most firms)

You’ll deliver end-to-end advice to Australia’s leading medical defence organisations, doctors, and allied health professionals, commercial health insurers, and major private health providers and hospitals.

We're looking for:
We’re looking for a talented lawyer with:
  • 4+ years PAE in insurance law (Senior Associate level ideal)
  • Demonstrated experience in health claims, professional indemnity, and/or regulatory matters
  • A genuine interest in specialising in this dynamic and rewarding area of law
Lawyers with experience up to Special Counsel level are encouraged to apply.

This role offers a clear and merit-based pathway to progression, free from top-heavy structures, meaning you’ll be recognised and rewarded for your contributions and have real influence over your career trajectory.

Why This Firm:
This firm blends national capability with a warm, collegial culture, offering all the benefits of a large practice without the rigidity. You’ll enjoy:
  • Work–Life Balance: Hybrid working (3 days in-office, 2 from home) with team-specific flexibility
  • Bonus Structure: Transparent performance-based bonuses, rewarding achievement and contribution
  • Parental Leave: 26 weeks of paid leave available after just 6 months’ service
  • Inclusive Culture: Regular social and wellness initiatives, sports clubs, monthly firm-wide events, and a down-to-earth team environment
