Are you a motivated legal professional with a keen interest in property and leasing law? Law Staff have a fantastic temporary opportunity for a PO2 Lawyer to join a dynamic legal team within a prominent government organisation. This role focuses on providing high-quality legal advice and services in property and leasing, supporting critical operations across Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide efficient and cost-effective legal services related to property law, leasing, and conveyancing.
- Serve as the primary legal contact for clients and external lawyers.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Acquire and apply knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Property Law Act 1974 and Land Act 1994.
- Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Strategic thinking with a strong ability to analyse complex legal issues.
- Experience in property law, leasing, or conveyancing, with a commitment to delivering client-focused services.
- Ability to build and sustain relationships that drive successful outcomes.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving in a legal context.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- A degree in Law or equivalent.
- Admitted, or eligible for admission, as a legal practitioner in Queensland.
- Hold or be eligible to obtain a current practicing certificate.
- Understanding of, or ability to rapidly acquire, knowledge of relevant Queensland legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
