A highly regarded Brisbane law firm is seeking a skilled Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join their respected Wills & Estates team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team that handles complex estate planning, administration and litigation matters for high-net-worth individuals and family businesses.
  
For those with an interest in business development, there are strong opportunities to contribute, including delivering presentations to clients and external peers at continuing professional education seminars.  

About the Role:

As a senior practitioner, you will have the option to work exclusively on Estate Litigation matters, or manage a balance of Wills & Estates matters, across estate litigation, estate administration and comprehensive estate planning.

You’ll work closely with a team known for its practical and strategic legal advice, ensuring clients receive timely and cost-effective solutions. The role also includes mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in contested Wills and estate disputes, with a focus on efficient, fair resolutions
  • Handle complex estate planning, administration, particularly for high-net-worth clients businesses
  • Provide commercially sound, practical legal advice to clients
  • Mentor junior lawyers and support the professional development of the team  
What You’ll Bring:
  • 5+ years post-admission experience in Wills & Estates with a focus on estate litigation
  • Strong technical knowledge in estate dispute resolution
  • Excellent client management and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to lead complex matters independently and work collaboratively within a team
  • Leadership skills and a desire to mentor and develop junior legal talent
