A highly regarded Brisbane law firm is seeking a skilled Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join their respected Wills & Estates team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team that handles complex estate planning, administration and litigation matters for high-net-worth individuals, family businesses, and corporate clients.
  
About the Role:

As a senior practitioner, you will manage a diverse range of Wills & Estates matters, including estate litigation, estate administration and comprehensive estate planning. You’ll work closely with a team known for its practical and strategic legal advice, ensuring clients receive timely and cost-effective solutions. The role also includes mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle complex estate planning, administration, and disputes, particularly for high-net-worth clients and businesses
  • Advise on trusts, asset protection, business structuring, and family dynamics
  • Provide commercially sound, practical legal advice to clients
  • Represent clients in contested Wills and estate disputes, with a focus on efficient, fair resolutions
  • Mentor junior lawyers and support the professional development of the team  
What You’ll Bring:
  • 5+ years post-admission experience in Wills & Estates with a focus on estate litigation
  • Strong technical knowledge in estate planning, trust structures, and dispute resolution
  • Excellent client management and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to lead complex matters independently and work collaboratively within a team
  • Leadership skills and a desire to mentor and develop junior legal talent
