The Role

Based in the Brisbane office, you’ll join a highly regarded Casualty team acting for some of Australia’s largest insurers and corporate self-insureds.
You’ll manage a diverse portfolio including:
  • Public liability
  • Product liability
  • Indemnity disputes
  • Personal injury defence
  • Property damage
  • Catastrophic injury claim
Importantly, this team does not handle institutional or historical abuse matters, making it one of the few liability teams in Brisbane where you can step away from that area entirely.

You’ll work closely with two respected Partners and a well-resourced team of 15+, with strong paralegal and administrative support so you can focus on delivering quality legal work.

About You
  • 5+ years’ PAE in defendant insurance
  • Strong experience running your own matters (with Partner oversight)
  • Currently at Associate or Senior Associate level
  • Commercial, practical and confident communicator
  • Be comfortable with mentoring junior lawyers
Lawyers currently working in historical abuse matters who are looking to transition into broader liability and casualty work are strongly encouraged to apply as this role does not involve abuse or sensitive claim files.
