In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the General Counsel and a dedicated legal team of five, managing a wide array of legal matters and contributing to exciting, high-impact projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Providing corporate commercial advice on compliance issues, transactions, agreements, and intellectual property
- Handling franchising and leasing transactions
- Representing the company in legal proceedings (disputes/defending claims)
- Drafting legal documents, including applications, breach notices, and formal correspondence
- Interpreting legislation and regulations, offering strategic guidance to ensure compliance
- Assisting in creating and delivering training and development programs

- Min 3+ years PAE in property (leasing), commercial (franchising), and dispute resolution
- Proven ability to apply commercial acumen to legal challenges
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Background in commercial private practice or in-house legal roles, especially those involving hospitality or franchising sectors
- Current legal practising certificate and eligibility to practice in Queensland
- Confidence and self-assurance, with the capability to mentor junior legal counsel
- Proactive and able to take initiative, demonstrating strong leadership potential
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a positive team environment
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
