In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the General Counsel and a dedicated legal team of five, managing a wide array of legal matters and contributing to exciting, high-impact projects. Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing corporate commercial advice on compliance issues, transactions, agreements, and intellectual property
  • Handling franchising and leasing transactions
  • Representing the company in legal proceedings (disputes/defending claims)
  • Drafting legal documents, including applications, breach notices, and formal correspondence
  • Interpreting legislation and regulations, offering strategic guidance to ensure compliance
  • Assisting in creating and delivering training and development programs

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Min 3+ years PAE in property (leasing), commercial (franchising), and dispute resolution
  • Proven ability to apply commercial acumen to legal challenges
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Background in commercial private practice or in-house legal roles, especially those involving hospitality or franchising sectors
  • Current legal practising certificate and eligibility to practice in Queensland

  • Proactive and able to take initiative, demonstrating strong leadership potential
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a positive team environment
